Here's my Smashing Magazine entry!

This competition had typography in mind, it's important to remember that typography isn't all about fancy fonts and big swirls. Typography is about creative experimentation with our main means of communication, figuring out ways to communicate in a beautiful manor, grabbing attention and being different.
Whilst designing this theme I tried to keep the idea of printed type in mind, that's why I chose to base my entry on the CMYK printing scheme. It's important to remember the roots of design, the RGB's, the CMYK's and the printer that first brought digital typographic design in to our world.
One sidenote, this theme will be available at my website, which you can find in the footer, as a free wordpress compatible download - seeing as this site was designed as a blog it seems only fitting!
